Re: new to forum

Hi Daniel. I'm at Coomera on the Gold Coast. Another option is you can buy adaptor looms from www.autosportwiring.com.au and I beleive DIY auto tune plan to sell adaptor boards soon. But would be cheaper just to harvest a connector off the factory ecu. There isn't an easy way to transfer the setting...

Re: New install

Hey Damo, Sounds like a good little project. If the TB's are too big you could always get some off a smaller GXSR 750. Should be a straight swap for the ones you have. Also the lastest MS2extra code has a new ITB mode that blends Alpa n and SD modes. I have nearly finished the itb setup on my toyota...

Re: Hello all.......

Not much has changed since my last post in this thread. Got some work done on my hot rod. It's only wiring and exhaust away from running the engine.

Cheers
Daniel.

Re: Commodore V6 VN Bellytank

If you have the MS configured for the VR Tach input, then sometimes they don't like to trigger off the stim. Make sure the software is setup for "basic trigger" and the 2 pots are turned full counter clockwise. There is lots of info about "chipping" delco computers at this link. ...

Re: Commodore V6 VN Bellytank

Thats a nice project there. I have done a few megasquirt installs before but never a commodore V6. I looked into it once as a mate wanted one but never went through with it. The Commodore V6 should be pretty straight forward. The only vehicle specific thing to look at would be the ignition. The foll...

Re: What reluctor/inductive pick-ups are you using?

I have only used factory VR sensors so far. Toyota 1jz, EF Falcon, RX7. That probably doesn't help you much though. You could probably use one off an e series Falcon if you plan to use a crack wheel.

Cheers

Re: Anyone here with E-series or AU falcon

PM me an email address and I will dig out the Maps I have. I have some Factory maps that someone read off the factory ecu and converted them to Megasquirt maps, as well as the maps for the turbo engine. There are also some simple changes that you will need to make to the VR circuit to make it work. ...

Re: Anyone here with E-series or AU falcon

I had one fitted to an EF falcon which was turboed. It has since been removed and put to use elsewhere, but I still have the plug in loom I made up. The EF is the closest relative to the AU as it runs coil packs. I also built a MS for a guy with an EF with a AU motor. The EF wiring loom plugs straig...
