Re: What's everyone upto nowadays?

We're using a Techedge 2Y. It's good. I found the old dear was way rich in places and way lean in others. It's picked up some grunt, which is nice. I was considering a blower but it doesn't really need it. Economy is nice for now.

What's everyone upto nowadays?

Hello everyone!

What's doin' in the world of megasquirts? What are the latest projects?

I've got a wideband now, so we'll be doing some serious tuning in the coming weeks.

Looks very neat Long283. Good stuff!

Re: Electronics question

I'd use a 2k2 resistor in the base circuit if you are switching the base with 12V. If you are using 5V I'd use about 1k. Remember too that the gain will drop as the collector current increases (see the datasheet).

Re: 36-1 Crank Wheels

If only.... I've had a cad drawing for 36-1 wheels for a few years now ; it could have saved you some work. Also, some vr sensors don't work as well will thinner wheels - thicker seems to give a higher output voltage. Mine is 5mm, works very well. Just out of interest, could you use hall instead of...

Re: v2.2 ignition options

I have an ignitor from a Nissan RB26 that is basically six power transistors. That uses a non-inverted signal going to +9 to 12V to begin coil charge and then pulling the signal to ground to fire the coil. I should have just bought 4x VB921s or the new IGBTs instead of getting that but it does have...

I wish my MAT was that low on the Falcon. I've seen temps up around 55-60degrees Celcius after it's run for a while. The factory airbox stuff is junk.
