I'll have to con someone in to driving for me while I try to tune on the laptop.

Thanks!

Damo.
Getting permission from management to spend hours driving around chewing fuel is the problem for me. :)

Re: I'm a bit rusty

Maybe richen the whole thing up a few points, get it to operating temperature. Then fiddle with the afterstart, etc. until it runs reliably. Repeat same for a cold motor.

It's been a while for me too. :)

I have an electronics repair workshop that happens to have a good sized yard, a big compressor and a hoist. Lucky me!

Re: Oldie but a Newbie

Another one! Welcome, Mark!

It must be time to put the grog in the fridge and get prepared for a get-together. Anyone have any ideas for a date?

My workshop in Toowoomba would be OK if people want to drive up the hill. (High altitude tuning anyone?)

Re: Oldie but a Newbie

I'm in Toowoomba and I'm regularly driving past Ipswich, so I may be able to help too.

Maybe it's nearly time for another SE Qld megasquirt get-together?

Re: Toyota Landcruiser FZJ105 4.5 EFi 1FZ-FE

First of all, welcome. Second, dump the HHO stuff - IT DOES NOT WORK, it's a con-job. Anyway, back to the issues.... you can read fault codes with Toyotas by shorting (I think) the TE terminal to gnd and counting the flashing check engine lamp. However, you may be better off going to a MS system wit...

Not here mate.. I've always used just a dissy or EDIS.

Stag76 can probably help you though.

Re: Ford EA Falcon CPI Idle controller

Those EA CFI idle motors were never the best IMO. I seem to remember them having a pot for feedback of the motor position... A dog, woof. Many old EA Falcons idled badly.

If you want, I can try and dig up some information and fax it to you.
