Re: What reluctor/inductive pick-ups are you using?

Most Hall-effect sensors are compatible with MS because they produce a square wave output. I thought of using the VN to VS Commodore hall-sensor off the V6 because they have a larger gap but am leaning towards the EF-AU Falcon crank-angle sensor because of the ability of VR-sensors to operate at hig...

Re: Commodore Coil Pack, 'more Ignition options' settings

I'm not 100% sure about the VP coils but will be using 4 similar coils on a V8 soon, http://www.jegs.com/images/photos/500/555/555-40120_1.gif Another forum helped me out with these links, http://www.teglerizer.com/fi/megasquirt/ms_ignition_module.html http://www.teglerizer.com/fi/megasquirt/wierdpu...

Re: What reluctor/inductive pick-ups are you using?

So far I haven't had any luck on the V/R pick-ups at the local wreckers but will keep trying. I have a couple of the hall-effect sensors so might have to go that way. I am almost tempted to go with an optical sensor with a larger gap but would have to be careful about dirt/grease blocking the sensor...

Re: What reluctor/inductive pick-ups are you using?

At the moment I have a couple of the hall-effect sensors from Jaycar and have drawings (.dwg, .dxf) to get 36-1 toothed wheels cut from 1.2mm mild-steel. I like using the hall-effect sensor over the inductive pick-ups because of the clean "square wave" output but I am considering the optio...

What reluctor/inductive pick-ups are you using?

Just wondering what reluctor/inductive pick-ups everyone is using and where to get them? I'm looking at building a crank angle sensor and have been looking at inductive, hall-effect and optical sensors from different suppliers. I want to go to a DIS ignition because the 'hot' spark from my ignition ...

36-1 Crank Wheel

I am going to get some 36-1 wheels made for a crank angle sensor and thought I'd ask if anyone else would like to go in on an order? The wheels are 6.75" in diameter, will be ~1.5mm thick mild steel to work with the hall-effect sensor from Jaycar p/n: ZD1900, the center hole is 5/16" with ...

Re: E85

Thanks for the feedback.
The new engine I'm building will have a bit more compression so I hope to give it a try.

Re: E85

Thanks for the reply. I've been looking at Megamanual and will also look at the other forums as well. :RTFM: Was hoping someone might have had a bit of local (australia) experience with what parts work and where to source injectors, fuel pumps, etc.. that are known to be compatible with ethanol. I k...

Re: E85

Ok nobody knows. Has anyone done any tuning of a car running E85 or E10? If so; What injectors did you use? What fuel line did you use? Did you use the standard fuel press. regulator or increase the pressure to increase fuel flow? Did you tune using a wideband EGO in Lambda mode or recalibrated for ...

E85

Does anybody know of petrol stations selling E85 in Australia?

Does anybody know of suppliers in NSW?
