Re: Looking for help on the Gold Coast

Hi David,

The problem turned out to be the serial wires in the microsquirt loom were back to front. I will PM you my email.

Cheers

Re: What sensors do I use for Throttle Bodies?

Im running a v8 with individule throttles. It uses the internal map sensor, tps, o2, coolant temp and water temp. Plus crank sensor and cam sensor.

For the map sensor I commoned up the lines from each of the manifold runners and use the itb mode for tuning.

You could just run tps and no map.

I use an adaptor from jaycar and it works fine.

Let me know how you get on and we can work it out from there. I will PM you an email address.

Re: Looking for help on the Gold Coast

Hi stevo,

Im on the Gold Coast.

What are the details of your set up? Are youbusing the usb cale or serial cable? Usb should be pretty easy you just need to install the driver and then tunerstudio should auto detect in when you set up a new project.

Cheers

Re: Dyno Tuning MS Brisbane

I havent actually worked with any dyno operators as yet. I have only street/track tuned my megasquirts. I do want to put my hot rod on a dyno in the future but havent gotten around to it. When I rang around a few years ago there was a dyno shop in Yatala that seemed helpful on the phone. Cant rememb...

Re: Dyno Tuning MS Brisbane

Sounds like an interesting project. I don't know of anyone who dyno tunes Megasquirts, but if you are willing to tune it yourself there are shops around who will hire you their dyno. You could even pay for them to operate the dyno while you do the tuning. Your best bet would be to get it running fir...

Re: Just joined the group

Hi mate, I have a 1uz in a hot rod running on ms2 that I got 5 years ago (Before MS3 existed!). The engine is running and driving but hasn't been tuned yet as the car still isn't finished. I hope to have it on the road by the end of the year. Im sure you would have seen my forum name around the plac...

Re: This joint has been quiet...

A meet sounds like fun, but i will need a couple more months to get the hot rod on the road. The chassis is done just waiting for the body to be painted. Then just need wheels and build an interia. It has ms2, gpio and LCDash.

Re: E85

Wouldnt be easy finding one at a wreaker as the series 2's have only been out a year or so. I have had a look but havent found it on my car yet. I assume it will be near the fuel tank as they normally go in the return line but commodores run a returnless fuel system.

Re: E85

I won the Australian jetsprint championships last year running it.

Series 2 VE commodores are the only flex fuel cars I know of.
