NEWBIE HELP REQUIRED
NEWBIE HELP REQUIRED
I have just fitted an EFI 2TG engine ( with MegaSquirt II ) to a 76 Model Toyota Celica.
The engine and ECU module were working together prior to changeover.
The engine will crank but not start.
Is there a common mistake that new folks make that stops the injectors opening?
things I have checked:
all sensors seem to be working correctly on Tunerstudio
fuel at pressure in the fuel rail
spark at the sparkplugs
injectors have power, and work in "Test" mode
I have attached a log file of the engine cranking.
is there any obvious problems to the experienced eye?
thanks in advance Steve

Re: NEWBIE HELP REQUIRED
Are the injectors getting power whilst the motor is being cranked? Have a look-see, let us know!
Now improved the way Ford should have built it with a 4speed automatic.
Also with 3.45 LSD for added goodness.
If you are hitting your head up against a wall it always feels better when you stop.
Re: NEWBIE HELP REQUIRED
I have a fusebox supplying the injectors, via a relay (energised via the ignition ON switch) from the battery.

Yes, check the voltage at the injectors at crank. Use an indicator lamp or something as a load, too.TA23 wrote:** should I check the voltage at the injectors while cranking the engine?

DOH! Found a problem.
The fuel pump is still from the original carby setup and only delivers 3psi, looks like we need another fuel pump that delivers HIGHER pressure.
