Commodore Coil Pack, 'more Ignition options' settings

Finally installing the MS into my esky and destroyed my ignition drivers and commodore VP style coils (wasted spark).

Before I try again, looking for the dwell settings and any other wisdom from the forum using commodore coil packs (VP and later style).

thanks

I'm not 100% sure about the VP coils but will be using 4 similar coils on a V8 soon,

Another forum helped me out with these links,

He had the dwell time down to between 1.7-2.0ms using lower resistance aftermarket coils. Try starting there and slowly increasing the dwell to get rid of any mis-fires, keep an eye on the ignition driver temps while doing this.

And I believe the new BIP ignition drivers can handle more current without burning out too.

I'm running 4 of these coils through VB921s in Wasted Spark Mode - Cranking 2.8, Running 1.6, Minimum Discharge 0.5.

got the ignition running on the weekend. seeing resets, mostly when you back off. waiting on resistive plugs for the pinto.
with luck that will fix it without having to implement a filtering cct. running std ignition, the vr output was steady.

hoping to run it in a motorkhana on sat.
