Re: v2.2 ignition options

The LS1 coils have a built in ignitor that uses an inverted signal. The signal is held high at +5V, then pulled to ground to begin coil charging, then it fires when the signal goes high (+5V). I have an ignitor from a Nissan RB26 that is basically six power transistors. That uses a non-inverted sig...

Re: v2.2 ignition options

What make and model is the ignitor/ignition system from? The motor is from a Suzuki x-90, the ignition parts are Mitsubishi though. After doing a bit of digging I think I have it sorted, the stock ignitor should be fine to use instead of the VB921. At the moment i'm trying to sort a power problem i...

Re: v2.2 ignition options

I'm using the MS2 v3 to fire an LS1 coil with built in ignitor. Use a pull-up resistor with your VB921 to create a square wave output. Or just use a small transistor and pull-up resistor in the prototype area. I also have another MS2 v3 with the extra code that is running multiple coils but I still...

v2.2 ignition options

Is anyone running ignition control? I have a v2.2 board and I'm trying to figure out how to hook it up to the vehicle's standard ignition hardware. That includes using the stock ignitor instead of using a VB921.

Ignition table tuning looks like fun too..

Re: New install

Got my throttles, they're 42mm, off a CBR1000RR. Maybe a little big for a NA 1600 but we'll see. The injectors are about 320cc/min apparantly, but they they are a 12 hole type that have a GREAT spray pattern so i'm hoping that will make it a little easier to get a decent idle. I'll have some parts f...

Re: Hello all.......

Will sought this out and maybe a bit more aircleaner shielding to encourage external draw as my MAT is upto 40deg at idle steve I wish my MAT was that low on the Falcon. I've seen temps up around 55-60degrees Celcius after it's run for a while. The factory airbox stuff is junk. Got chemiweld?...

Sounds like it's going pretty well. How did you end up connecting the coils? Did you use the backplane or just the coils on their own?

Re: new to forum

Hey Dan! I'm just up the road in Murarrie. I've made an adapter that has a ECU socket the same as the G16 with a DB37 on the other, which will let me plug the MS into the stock loom of my G16'd Sierra. You could do the same sort of thing but it only occurred to me the other day that it would be much...

Re: New install

often people use quad throttlebodies from the 20v 4age for the g13bb GTI motor, perhaps these would be better sized? I have a g16b mpfi in my Sierra with extractors, plenty of torque. Ha! I know you from AZ  i'm "Damo" :D over there. I've got a 16v in my Sierra too, but the ITB's are...

New install

While i'm dribbling I might as well mention a new install i'm working on. I have a few standard (Suzuki Sierra) engines at home and after seeing the difference a decent carb makes thought it would be interesting to see how it would respond with a set of extrators and individual throttle bodies. I fo...
